Hit the bitch

StumbleUpon Sorry for the strong language, but this is the title of a new social campaign from Denmark. The campaign is literally in your face as you have to punch the featured girl to get the message. Most disturbing is that you want to go all the way through, which make you feel like a 100% idiot once finished. But the message, even though it's in Danish, is very clear.

Personally Im offended by this game but there might be some people out there who like it :(

EA takes Grand Slam Tennis to Facebook

StumbleUpon advergames are moving to Facebook or, better, are moving where people are. EA Games has just launched "Quick Challenge", an interactive Facebook application, to support the release of its new title: EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis.

Quick challenge is a revised version in a tennis mood of the popular game (among our granpas') "rock, paper, scissors". The gaming mechanism is therefore pretty straightforward: you pick an avatar (both Rafa Nadal and John McEnroe are available!), you select your three shots: lob, slam, drop shot and then watch it play out against your opponent who gets challenged within Facebook itself.
Once your friend has accepted the challenge, the cool part begins, as you see the three shots in action with real game images taken from the videogame (and this is a nice new way to experience the game they want you to buy).

I must say that I'm always rather skeptical when I receive invites from friends on Facebook, and I tend to ignore them. I believe the brand can really make the difference in driving acceptance of such invitations. In three days the game has been played over 40.000 times, and we can definitel expect it to go viral, given the quality of the execution and the ease of its mechanism.

Doritos ID3: this is entertainment

StumbleUpon It looks like brands and agencies have been starting to get the best out of Facebook Connect.
After Prototype or Frenzied Waters, here comes Doritos with its ID3 advergame.

This campaign is to support the launch of Doritos new product innovation: a limited edition mystery flavour, "ID3", that consumers have to guess .

Once again, when the tortilla chips brand owned by PepsiCo plays with technology, it does it in a consistent and relevant way, not just as a pretext. As you will see in this case, it does not do things half. I must say I am quite impressed by the level of production of this campaign. I like the way it mixes interactive first person video as well as 3D tools. Adding the integration of personal content, thanks to Facebook Connect, Doritos delivers a successful immersive experience.

The advergame is divided in three episodes. If you complete the full story you will then get the chance to win a cash prize of up to £50,000. There are other prizes to be won along the way courtesy of promotional partner O2 (trip to Las Vegas, XBox etc ...).
To get access to the contest, guess the mystery flavour and fully experience the advergame, you need to enter a unique code, printed in a special black pack of Doritos iD3 ... available in the UK.

And if you are not living on this wonderful island, and just want to try the game, you can use one of these free player codes : PR00259385, PR00261818, PR00263894. If they are already used you can then ask us some other ones in your comments.
The integrated campaign has been created and led by communication agencyInitials. Upset TV have written, directed and created the adventure, with rehabstudio responsible for designing and building it. AMV BBDO have provided digital planning.

Axe in the Dark

StumbleUpon In Japan Axe is back with a new weird but cool campaign. Axe in the Dark is an amusing advergame inspired to horror movies full of monsters and with one hero who will (or could) rescue the girl. Everything takes place in a dark cinema hall: the player moves around with the keyboard, trying to avoid to meet the monster and, at the same time, looking for or, better, smelling for the hero who will save her. Make sure to use the hearphones to play.

Once again Axe manages to surprise us

The answer is on Facebook, Mr Watson

StumbleUpon
The latest advergame that plays with your Facebook profile has been launched today to promote the upcoming movie Sherlock.

Start here, "hire" a Facebook friend to help you out as Watson and start playing. I've just completed the registration and I'm waiting for the challenge to begin... look forward to see what will happen. Since the project has been created by AKQA, my expectations are pretty high
